Discipleship and Spiritual Growth

Have you ever felt like you weren’t qualified enough, knowledgeable enough, or spiritually strong enough for God to use you?

In Matthew 28:16–20, Jesus meets His disciples after the resurrection. These were ordinary people with weaknesses, failures, questions, and even doubts. Yet Jesus did not replace them or give up on them.

Instead, He reminded them that He still had work for them to do.

In this message on discipleship and spiritual growth, Pastor Corey explores Jesus’ Great Commission to “go and make disciples.” Discipleship is more than simply believing in Jesus—it is learning to follow Him, becoming more like Him, and helping someone else do the same.

The sermon offers practical ways to live this out in everyday life: share your faith as you go, invite someone into your life, pray for God to show you who you can encourage and disciple, connect people to the church community, and teach others what God has already taught you.

You do not have to know everything before God can use you. You can begin with what He has already placed in your hands.

And when doubts, fears, or feelings of inadequacy arise, Jesus gives us two powerful assurances: He has all authority, and He promises to be with us always.

The question is not simply, “Am I growing?” but also, “Who am I helping grow?”
